Post Thanksgiving

Hhhiieee,

Last week was madness, the LA Auto Show is something else fffoorr sure! The biggest headache for sure was parking, not only does it cost money it can be so hard to find! Luckily I finally figured out which Metro rail stops were closest to where I was staying and I was able to get to the convention center easily. I thought I was going to tear my hair out until I figured that out! Once LA gets really really good rail system like New York and San Francisco it’ll be a much easier place to live in my opinion. So maybe give it another 20 to 30 years :-D.

Me finally happy to have found the train and not drive to DTLA

The only bummer about working this event was that I didn’t get to go back to Arizona to see my extended family for Thanksgiving. However, because of the great scheduling I had for the show I was able to come back to San Diego for a late Thanksgiving dinner with my partner. We had chicken, potatoes, green beans and Red Lobster biscuits (of course).

That said, I met so many people at LA Auto who gave me good tips on working as a narrator, spokesperson and all around trade show professional. I’m already booked for my next auto show, which happens to be in San Diego! I’m excited for that. And I also ran into one of my good friends at the show! It was good seeing her and I’m sure we’ll be working together soon.

It’s usually this time of year that I start planning what my next year is going to look like. Throughout the year I write down goals for myself like what I want to learn, classes I want to take, places I want to go, material I want to get together…things like that. So now I’m putting together my 2017 schedule that why when the new year comes I’m ready to execute! This year that includes learning more about WordPress, social media branding, SEO, computer hardware and software, improv classes, all in addition to keep up my hosting skills. Ideally I’ll get my new reel together by the new year too! It feels like there’s not enough time to do everything, but I’ll make it work.

Although 2017 maybe a political and economic roller coaster, I know it’s going to be a big year for my partner and I. I’m really looking foward to it. In the meantime, we’ll be planning Christmas and the New Year to send this year off with a bang!

That’s all I got for now, see you next week!

Ayo
