This week was so productive. I finished filming with the art studio, and now we’re on to creating social media content for the digital marketing strategy! Also, this upcoming week is the last week of my improv class.
I’m so happy working at the art studio, I’m proud of what I do there and happy that we can start moving on to marketing! I’ve always been interested in digital marketing, strategy and content creation, and being able to work on a team that is going to be doing that is awesome!
Next week is the last week of my improv class, I’m bummed but also so happy that I did it! My partner Kim and I learned so much…I’m hoping that I’ll be able to do the Level 2 later this year. Honestly, I didn’t realize how much of my hosting would be improved by doing improv!
This week I also had a short but great booking from an event agency that I’ve been trying to work for yyeeaarrrsss! I’m hoping this is the start to much more bookings with them!
Another nice perk to this week was that my best friend and her partner came down to visit from Long Beach, what a great day! It was the first time they’ve seen my new place, finally, haha! It’s been nearly a year, but better late than never, right? We went to have beers, eat food and catch up. It was a really nice day.
We get to spend more friend time this weekend too. One of Kim’s friends is in town so we’re going to do hikes, be tourists and be generally merry. It’s kinda strange that I won’t have to wake up with an alarm clock this weekend and possibly for the next week. I’ve been waking up before 8:30 am for like the past two weeks. I’m tired and cranky just from that…ven when I what I have to get up for is something I want to do! Proof that adulting is a pain no matter the circumstance.
By the way, if you get a chance, you should listen to Nancy. It’s a new podcast from NPR’s WNYC. It’s a podcast about the LGBT community, culture, heritage, stories, etc…told by two people of color. Which makes me so happy! The first two episodes are pretty good. So go listen now, k?!
