Gone Hiking and Workin’

Hi everyone!

This is another week that has been so fun and productive!

Last weekend one of our friends came to town, so we ate everything and were generally merry. We went hiking and visited a beautiful Buddhist temple just outside of town, had good talks and laughs. It was the first weekend in awhile that Kim and I just hung out and had fun. I’m glad we did.

All that rest was needed because Monday all kinds of work headed my way; auditions, bookings, and meetings! I had a meeting with the art studio about the marketing plan, also got to see some of the videos we filmed. They look so amazing, even the textbook that goes along with them. I couldn’t be happier with what we’ve produced and for what’s to come!

You know, I did learn something about myself this week. The hosting gigs that I get most excited about are the ones that are instructional or educational content…I love teaching people or showing people new things! I want to lean into that, maybe make a reel for that and create content around that. As soon as I get the equipment I want, I’ll head that direction.

In the meantime, I am looking for a new phone. My goal is to get a Samsung Galaxy S8 or an iPhone 7…honestly, I just want a kick ass camera and both seem to be good. However, I am open to other suggestions. Feel free to send them my way!

Anyways, one of the highlights of this week was doing and watching improv. It was the last level 1 class and part of that class is doing a short scene with another teacher on stage. Kim and I did great! I wish I had pictures to share with you! After we did our scenes on stage we watched some improv too. Turns out I love musical improv, it was so fun to watch! I’m definitely going to take a class on that when it comes around next time. In the meantime, I’ll take level 2 during the summer. I’m going to take a break so I can save up for new photos and equipment..duh! Haha!

Well, that’s all for now, I’ll be back next week with more updates and pictures!
